"Grandma has good taste": James Harden adorably reacts to a 94-year-old NBA fan choosing him as her favorite NBA player to watch

James Harden is among the most watchable players today. He reacted in wholesome fashion when a nonagenarian called him her favorite Nets player.

Of all the things you can accuse James Harden of being, tasteless is not one of those things. The Beard lives his life king-size, destroying his opponents on the court and leading an amazing life off it.

On the court, there are few players in the modern NBA who measure up to his skillset. Harden can score anywhere, against any team and any coverage, and there’s practically no way of slowing him down.

In terms of isolation play, Harden is unique in NBA history. He averaged more points per game on isolation plays during his peak Rockets years than 29 other NBA teams. Guarding Harden one-on-one is akin to walking on eggshells with football cleats.

James Harden responds to 94-year-old grandma for naming his as her favorite Nets player

An Asian-American 94-year-old woman recently became a Twitter sensation after her grandson posted a picture of her. She was posing with a notepad, in which she’s listed the names of her favorite players from every NBA team.

She listed Danny Green as her favorite Sixers player, and she added Kevin Durant and James Harden on the Nets. Harden took note of this post, and thanked the adorable grandma for appreciating his game.

Harden has been an integral component of the Nets’ surge through the Eastern Conference standings. They began the season inconsistently, but the Harden acquisition has proved to be real shot in the arm.

If the Nets can snag the top spot in the East (or the entire NBA, for that matter) without KD, it will be difficult to make a substantial argument against Harden’s MVP candidature.
