The James Harden sweepstakes aren’t as thrilling as imagined. When a perennial MVP candidate like James Harden is on the market, it would be assumed that teams would be frothing at the mouth to trade for him.
However, it has been Houston reaching out to teams to work out a Harden, instead of the other way around. This might be due to the fact that the Rockets are looking for a near ‘otherworldly’ package for ‘the Beard’.
Speaking of ‘the Beard’, Jimmy Butler recently took to the Jump and had a rather peculiar explanation as to why he showed interest in joining forces with James Harden.

Amidst all the hoopla surrounding his whereabouts and playing status, James Harden released a list. The list included teams he would like to be traded to. This included the Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Miami Heat.
When Bleacher Report got wind of Harden’s interest in joining Jimmy Butler on the Heat, they released a post related to this. Butler immediately took to Instagram and liked this post.
When asked about this on the Jump, Butler dodged the question by saying, “I like his hairstyle in the photo. Them dreads. The braids. The The beard looks well nourished. That’s why I liked the post.”

Is there a possibility of James Harden landing in Miami?
A deal revolving around Tyler Herro was apparently shut down immediately by the Heat as they believe Herro to be an untouchable asset.
Jimmy Butler has confirmed that there is a friendly relationship between him and the 2018 MVP. He said, “I like James. He’s a friend. I want the best for him.”
The Heat have reportedly reignited trade talks involving Harden and are willing to hash out the details if the Rockets are interested.
