The Minnesota Timberwolves make their way to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers in the first Western Play-In Game of the season. After the punching incident on Sunday, the Wolves suspended Rudy Gobert for a game, who isn’t present in LA tonight. A lot of analysts have talked about the incident, and Charles Barkley couldn’t wait for his turn!

Inside the NBA crew was present tonight, on a Tuesday, to cover the double-header of Play-In Games. The Hawks took on the Heat for the 7th seed and emerged victorious. Chuck took a huge loss because of that result. Now, Chuck had claimed the Lakers would win over the Wolves as well. Well, at least he got it 1 for 2.
However, before that discussion, Barkley talked about Gobert and the punch he threw at Kyle Anderson.

We all knew that the guys on Inside the NBA were going to talk about the Rudy Gobert punch. Well, Chuck did a little more than just that. He started the show off by hitting Kenny Smith on the back, and walking away, like Rudy did.
Chuck then went on a rant about how Gobert can’t be out there hitting people and then backing away, especially when the one he hits is a guard. The guys had a hearty laugh about it before Ernie Johnson asked him to table the discussion for the segment.
It looked like Chuck was preparing a move for the past few days, and was just waiting to be on-air to execute it.
Did Rudy Gobert cost the Timberwolves the game tonight?
The Minnesota Timberwolves offense went down the drain in the 4th quarter. They went on a scoring drought at the worst possible time, allowing the Lakers to overcome a double-digit deficit. LeBron James was incredible, and so was Anthony Davis.
However, Anthony Edwards not having a good night, and Karl-Anthony Towns picking up five fouls hurt the Wolves. While Gobert’s absence wasn’t particularly felt, maybe if he was playing, he would have taken on AD, and then maybe KAT wouldn’t have had the fouls he had.
