Is Giannis Antetokounmpo Playing vs Heat? Bucks Star's Injury Report Gives No Assurances on Superstar's Health

The Milwaukee Bucks are in a bit of a tight spot right now, to say the absolute least. Giannis Antetokounmpo was forced to miss the franchise’s game due to a knee injury. To make matters worse, the team has lost 5 of its last 10 games.

In the middle of this little crisis of theirs, they face off against the Miami Heat, a team that has won a whopping 7 of their last 10, and are looking like absolute world-beaters at the moment.

Needless to say, the franchise is going to be needing its best player back.

But what is the latest on the man?

Is Giannis Antetokounmpo healthy enough to take part in the contest against Jimmy Butler? Or will the once champions have to do without their lead star?

What is the latest on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s health?

Giannis Antetokounmpo is a strapping 7-foot, 242 lbs man.

Why is that important? Well, big men and knees have always had an iffy relationship together. And once one injures their own, full recovery is of tantamount importance.

And that couldn’t be more so the case with a mobile big with as much shake to his game as Giannis.

So, what’s the status of his knee?

Well, the injury doesn’t seem to be a highly serious one. As per ESPN, the man’s status is ‘Day-to-Day’, meaning he could potentially suit up for the game against the Heat.

It’s a good thing too, considering that the Miami Heat aren’t foes that any team in the NBA can beat without its best players.

After 35 games played, Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 31 points, 12 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per contest.

He is also shooting 52.4% from the field, 24.5% from beyond the arc, and 65.3% from the charity stripe.
