James Harden showed up to his Brooklyn Nets debut looking as fit and spry as ever and NBA Twitter just could not believe it.

The Brooklyn Nets played the Orlando Magic last night, which was the first game the Nets suited up for following the blockbuster James Harden trade. It was unknown whether or not the Nets star would be available to hit the hardwood, as he had yet to finish up his physicals, prior to his debut with the Nets.
However, it seems as though his physicals came back perfectly fine as the 31 year old did in fact play against the Magic. It wasn’t any ordinary debut as he made history by being the first player in NBA history to record a triple double in their first game for a new team.
Harden looked quite fluid and comfortable on the court, which had people questioning his seemingly overweight physique with the Rockets.
James Harden has apparently ‘lost 20 pounds in a week’
The first few pictures of James Harden on the court for the Brooklyn Nets surfaced online, as he was practicing pre-game for the matchup. The most noticeable aspect of these pictures was his toned-down physique.
In contrast to pictures that released during his last game with the Houston Rockets, it seems as though James Harden has lost 20 pounds in the last week or so.
NBA Twitter went crazy over this, seemingly overnight body transformation. They floated ideas such as Harden wearing a fat suit to all his Rockets games so Houston would be forced to trade him.

The two pictures shown side by side do look drastically different. It’s obvious that the 2018 MVP didn’t lose 20 pounds in less than a week’s time. The only explanation as to what caused such a difference would be that he wore a ton of padding with the Rockets that he didn’t put on last night.
