"Don't Want To Die With $50,000,000": Charles Barkley, Who Bickered Shaquille O’Neal for $10,000, Once Claimed To Want To Splurge Before Death

Charles Barkley is deeply rooted for the Boston Celtics to win the Eastern Conference Finals. He is confident that the Celtics will be able to tie the series with a win in Game 6. Barkley has been rooted for the Celtics since last year when he hoped they would bring home the championship. However, many believe that perhaps Barkley is putting up false hope and delaying his vacations. In the Dan Patrick Show, Charles Barkley was in a pickle when asked to choose between Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler and Celtics’ Jayson Tatum.

Barkley often gets perplexed when he is required to phrase things properly. Most recently, Chuck made one of the most epic fumbles while trying to imitate the Bostonian accent at the TD Arena, which had Shaq rolling with laughter.

Charles Barkley makes an unintentional innuendo while trying to show support for Jimmy Butler

It would be a no-brainer to admit that Charles Barkley has difficulty phrasing things correctly. At the same time, he might have all good intentions in his words; his statements never fail to amuse others around him. A similar incident occurred at the Dan Patrick show when he was asked to choose between Jimmy Butler and Jayson Tatum as teammates.

He chooses Butler in the most questionable manner possible. Chuck explaining his choice, said:

“Jimmy Butler, I know he’s gonna give it to me. He’s tough, he got that grip. Jayson Tatum probably is a better player. But you asked me who I want to go on the Foxhole with, it’s going to be Jimmy Butler.”

Jimmy Butler was an obvious choice for Chuck, given his tough nature as a player and opponent for other teams. While statistically, Tatum ranks higher than Butler, Barkley would like an aggressive player like himself along his side. This is evident when he refers to Butler as his sidekick for fighting a war.

However, all such comparisons go in vain for Chuck due to the unintentional innuendos that he creates with his phrases. The quote on Jimmy Butler is questionable, given Dan Patrick is seen holding his laughter from the possible innuendo that comes up. This is not the first time Chuck has amused people with his phrases. Last year during the playoffs, one of Chuck’s unintentional innuendos had Shaq rolling with laughter.

Shaq once could not stop laughing after Chuck’s hilarious statement

During last year’s playoff season, Chuck’s statement on Nikola Jokic had Shaq rolling with laughter. While comparing the defensive stats of players, Chuck said:

“Draymond is bracing. And Joker, instead of going around, is banging and banging. When a guy is banging you, you spin off of him. That’s the worst defenders to play against actually. Because if you can feel their body…”

This was when Chuck realized what he had just said. While he was trying to appreciate Jokic’s defensive abilities, it came off as something he did not mean to say at all. Shaq was holding his laughter all the while before bursting out laughing on camera. Even Shannon Sharpe was amused by Chuck and was trying to hide his laughter.

Perhaps, the best solution for Chuck would be to think before speaking. This way, he might be able to save himself from embarrassment. Nevertheless, fans do always keep rooting for these unintentional innuendos from Barkley, which has now sort of become one of his trademark traits.
