Jimmy Butler Roasts 'Exhausted' Man In Bahamas For Trying His Workout Days After Losing Finals to Nikola Jokic's Nuggets

Jimmy Butler suffered a heartbreaking loss at the hands of Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 NBA Finals. The Miami Heat stood no chance, losing 4-1. So, to take his mind off of it, and catch a break, Jimmy has been vacationing in the Bahamas. It was here, that he met a man who claimed he could be the 12th or 13th player on an NBA roster. But, as revealed in an Instagram video, all it took was a taste of Butler’s workout to prove otherwise.

Over the years, there have been plenty of fans and haters alike who underestimate just how difficult it is to become a professional player. Comments and videos claiming it is incredibly easy are rampant on social media platforms. However, it looks like Jimmy Buckets has put those claims to rest, at least for one unlucky vacationer in the Caribbean.

Jimmy Butler shows fans just how difficult it is to be a professional basketball player

Jimmy Butler has had a tough few weeks. After defeating the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Jimmy and the Miami Heat headed into the NBA Finals full of hope. However, excellent performances from Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and the Denver Nuggets saw the Heat fall 4-1.

It was a difficult loss, and Butler decided to clear his mind by going on holiday to the Bahamas. However, it seems Jimmy was unable to catch a break even on vacation. An overconfident fan apparently approached him claiming he could be the 12th or 13th man on an NBA roster.

So, what did Jimmy do? He made the fan do his daily workout. Halfway through, in a video the Heat star shared, the fan can be seen exhausted lying on the sand. All while Butler explains just how difficult it is to be an NBA superstar and that anybody who thinks they’re better than the 12th or 13th man needs to re-evaluate their thought processes.

“We just got up early in the Bahamas… on the beach. For everybody who thinks that they’re better than the 12th/13th man on the bench in an NBA roster… this is what y’all look like after one of these workouts. Everybody! Ah ah…y’all don’t want it!”

Clearly, not every fan believes they can be on an NBA bench. Many of them agree with Jimmy and praise the level of cardio basketball players require. That being said, Jimmy must be quite annoyed with himself. Given how much he bragged before the Finals, he will be looking for redemption, and so will what hopefully will be an improved Miami Heat roster next season.

Butler who was incredibly overconfident heading into the NBA Finals will be looking to improve alongside the Heat next season

Jimmy Butler was quite full himself before the NBA Finals. The Miami Heat star was so sure he and his teammates would win an NBA Championship, that he even started a countdown on social media. Unfortunately, the Denver Nuggets had other ideas, and Jimmy G must be feeling pretty down about it.

However, despite the disappointing outcome, the Heat did do the impossible. They certainly will be a team to watch out for next season. And, with rumors swirling about the possible addition of a new superstar in Bradley Beal or Damian Lillard, they should be favorites to return to the Finals.
