'Kazaam' Star Shaquille O'Neal Jumps on Breaking Bad Bandwagon, Makes Bold Claim About 'Gus Fring'

Actor, philanthropist, NBA analyst, and basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal made a bold claim about actor Giancarlo Esposito. O’Neal, who himself has as many as 75 credits as an actor on IMDB, claimed that Esposito was one of the greatest actors of this generation. On his Instagram story, the LA Lakers’ legend suggested that the now 65-year-old actor does not deserve as much credit as he gets.

With a career spanning over 50 years now, Esposito has a rich portfolio with innumerable major roles. Both in TV and film, Giancarlo has left an indelible mark. These include movies such as Malcolm X, Maze Runner: The Death Cure, and shows such as Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and The Boys.

Shaquille O’Neal offers high praise to Giancarlo Esposito, calls him one of the greatest actors

Shaquille O’Neal himself has no reason to be disappointed with his own acting career. After almost 3 decades in Hollywood, O’Neal himself knows a thing or two about acting.

The former Miami Heat and LA Lakers star has acted in major films such as Kazaam, Steel, and Scary Movie 4. Apart from having a stellar career in films, Giancarlo Esposito has delivered some of the most iconic TV series performances as well.

His work has earned him three Emmy nominations as well as the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. You can take a guess for which of his work.

Giancarlo’s role as Gus Fring in Breaking Bad was phenomenal. The 65-year-old actor deserves the high praise that he received from Shaquille O’Neal on Instagram:

“Giancarlo Esposito is one of the greatest actors of our time and I don’t think we talk about that enough.”

Giancarlo Esposito has delivered some iconic TV roles in the past few years

Esposito’s role as Gus Fring in Breaking Bad might have ended on a sad note. Half of his face was blown away. However, the character is one of the most iconic villains ever seen in TV history.

Esposito reprised his role in the Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul which concluded recently. The series has received highly favorable reviews and has maintained an 8.9 rating on IMDB.

Esposito seems to have found his niche in playing iconic villains. Currently, the actor is also playing the role of Stan Edgar in the hit Amazon Prime series, The Boys.

The Boys present a hilariously satirical take on the Marvel and DC universe, where the heroes are the villains. Season 4 is set to be released in late 2023. Esposito’s superb acting is fully deserving of the unlikely praise received from someone like Shaquille O’Neal.
