Kevin Durant is greatest scorer in NBA history

Kevin Durant is the ‘greatest scorer in NBA history’ claims former teammate Kendrick Perkins after social media beef last week

Nets star Kevin Durant and former OKC teammate Kendrick Perkins have quite the history. Perkins famously criticized Durant for his decision to join the Warriors in 2016.

The two former NBA teammates have been beefing and exchanging heated words on social media over the past few weeks.

How did it start? Kevin Durant sell out comment on Kendrick Perkins

Kendrick Perkins was one of the few people who called out Brooklyn Nets Kyrie Irving for opposing the NBA restart in July. Irving, along with a few other NBA stars, was reported to be against the NBA’s restart at Walt Disney World as it might prove to be a distraction from the ongoing protests in the country.

Durant stood up for his teammate and defended him by calling Perkins a “sell-out”.

While Durant did not call out Perkins directly, he commented on a post which quoted the retired NBA star, referring to him as a ‘sell-out’. He also retweeted a video after his comment which featured Perkins air balling a jumper.

Durant the “greatest scorer in NBA history” claims Perkins

Now, in a turn of events, Perkins has called KD the “greatest scorer in NBA history”.

Perkins was asked to choose between the Brooklyn Nets star and LA Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard on Twitter. He surprisingly chose Durant despite their beef and even called him the “greatest scorer in NBA history”.

Such claims by Perkins put the 2-time NBA champion above the likes of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant as the best scorer’s to have played in the NBA.

Durant is one of the greatest scorers ever to play in the NBA, if not the greatest ever. For some Perkins, claims might hold true and KD still has time to make Perkins’s statement true.

Durant and Perkins have a bittersweet relationship, so we might see another social media feud soon.

Their online feud started this January when Perkins named Russell Westbrook as the best player to play in the Oklahoma City Thunder. Durant replied to Perkins’ tweet, calling out his stats.
