“Kyrie Irving Acting Up”: Shaquille O’Neal’s Son Goes Gaga Over Mavs Star Unleashing 34″ Vertical for Vicious Slam

Shaquille O’Neal has had a storied relationship with Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving, which took a drastic turn for the worse last year. Shaq reprimanded Irving harshly after the eight-time All-Star received a ton of backlash late last year for sharing a movie on his social media that espoused anti-semitic undertones. The Big Diesel joined others in the NBA community in calling out Irving’s actions in perpetrating divisions between people within the community, even referring to him as an ‘idiot’ during a TNT segment. Since then, Shaq and Kyrie haven’t had too much to say about each other.

However, the big man’s kids haven’t allowed their father’s strained relationship with the Mavs star to affect their love for Kyrie’s game. In fact, Shaq’s youngest son, Shaqir, recently got hyped up after witnessing Irving throw it down using his 34″ vertical.

Shaqir O’Neal shows some love to monster Kyrie Irving dunk

Kyrie Irving has kept himself busy this summer, streaming on Twitch and calling out civilians for 1v1 matchups. However, the 31-year-old recently hit the court to oil his machine before training camp starts. Irving was seen dominating the hardwood in More Than A Run’s basketball tournament.

The 2016 NBA Champion ended up dropping 42 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 block in the pro-am tournament, lighting up the court in front of a lively crowd. Clips of Kyrie breezing past defenders with his elite handles soon spread across social media platforms. However, one play from the 6’2 guard managed to stun the NBA community.

Known for his shifty moves, Irving is not a big dunker of the basketball. However, he managed to slam a monster exclamation point at the ‘More Than A Run’ tournament, leaving the audience crazy. One of his teammates had scooped the ball toward the rim when Irving appeared out of nowhere and threw it down with one hand after a giant leap.

Overtime shared the clip on Instagram with the caption, “Kyrie [Irving] acting up.” Shaqir O’Neal seemed to be excited by the play and ended up sharing it on his Instagram stories.

Shaq’s kids love Kyrie

Even though Shaq has been critical of Kyrie Irving’s actions, his kids have been unbothered by all the noise. On the contrary, they have regularly shared their fascination for the former Brooklyn Nets star’s game.

Before Shaqir shared his dunk, Shaq’s daughter Me’Arah O’Neal attended Kyrie’s training camp. She even clicked a picture with the veteran hooper, dubbing him ‘one of the greatest players ever’. Shaq has also praised Kyrie indirectly by sharing a post last month that adulated the Mavs guard’s handles.
