LeBron James’s latest NBA 2K rating sees him get back to an overall of 98. James’s highest ever rating was with 2K14 at 99.
James has only once featured on the cover of the most popular basketball game franchise. This was for the NBA 2K14, which also had him at his highest rating ever of 99.
NBA 2K released its Next Gen ratings for the latest game in the franchise today. The game was released on 4th September this year worldwide, and has received mixed reviews.

LeBron’s latest rating marks his return to the summit of the ratings on the wildly popular game. Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard and Stephen Curry are each next on the list with overalls of 97.
2-time defending MVP Giannis is now at 96, the same as James’s First Team All-NBA teammate Anthony Davis. James Harden is a bit starved for love from the ratings, so he checks in at 95 despite another strong individual season.

Kyrie Irving, meanwhile, retains the 95 rating he had as he continues to be a popular amid the youth. Lillard, who was voted the MVP of the bubble games, checks in with 94.

The special edition of the 2K21 release this year features Kobe Bryant on the cover. Other versions of the cover have Lillard and Zion Williamson featured on the frame.
