Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson have been close friends for a long time now. Meeting during their time in the NBA, the pair now have several iconic moments together. The duo has faced each other in the NBA Finals, won the Gold medal as part of the famous Dream Team, and are still very close friends in their 60s. In fact, the Lakers legend recently revealed that the two of them are vacationing together in Italy, with their partners Yvette Prieto and Cookie Johnson.

Magic has had many tough moments in his life, but none tougher than when he was informed that he had contracted HIV. At the time, such a diagnosis was something close to a death sentence. And so, when Jordan found out about it, the first thing on his mind was if he was about to lose his friend. Fortunately, Magic and Michael remain friends to this day to spend many blissful days together.

Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson have vacationed together for years now. And every time they do, being the social media lover that he is, Magic always posts pictures to intrigue fans. This occasion was no different as the two NBA superstars vacationed in Italy with their wives, along side Samuel L. Jackson and others.

However, it is the caption of his post that grabbed the attention of fans more than the pictures. Take a look at both in Johnson’s Instagram post below.

“Tonight we enjoyed an incredible dinner at the world-famous Da Paolino Ristorante aka the lemon tree restaurant in Capri, Italy! AND I got to hang out with my great friend and the greatest basketball player to ever live, Michael Jordan, and his wife Yvette, Sam and LaTanya Jackson, Judge Greg and Linda Mathis, and John and Vicki Palmer.”

In his words, Magic described Michael Jordan to be the greatest basketball player to ever live. Yes, for most people around the globe that is the go to opinion. However, for the Lakers legend to come right out with it, especially when LeBron James is still a part of the Purple and Gold, is a bit shocking.

We’re not sure if LeBron James is going to be a big fan of Magic’s Instagram posts anymore.

Magic is not a man who takes vacations lightly

Magic Johnson has always been a fun-loving man. However, when he is out on vacation, the Lakers legend just loves to go all out, especially when it comes to spending the big bucks.

The biggest example is when he took a vacation to the Mediterranean, resulting in quite a beautiful holiday. However, it also resulted in a $1,000,000 hole for the former NBA superstar. Read all the details of it here.
