How are the teams lined up?
Portland Trailblazers
Damian Lillard struggled during the initial games of the NBA 2020 restart. His shooting remained a bit rusty. However, he redeemed himself against the Mavs. He connected 11-out-of-18 3-pointers. He finished with 45 points and provided 12 assists.
If the Blazers want to keep doing what they are doing, Lillard needs to be the driving force.
Nurkic, Gary Trent Jr and Carmelo Anthony have been contributing some very important plays all through the Bubble restart. Melo’s clutch 3s have been on point and both Nurkic and Gary Trent Jr ha been brilliant with their transition play.
Predicted starting lineup: Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, Carmelo Anthony, Zach Collins, Jusuf Nurkic
Los Angeles Clippers
Clippers have been playing some enviable basketball in the Bubble. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are carrying the offensive as well as defensive mantle, with the other starters making some important plays.
Once their bench players are back for them, the Clippers should have the best possible lineup to clinch that NBA title. However, against a Lillard led Blazers, even the Clippers will have to be totally locked in, if they want to get a win out of this.
Predicted Lineup: Landry Shamet, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Marcus Morris Sr., Ivica Zubac
