Rare Video of 17-Year-Old Kobe Bryant Destroying Players at Gym Rat’s Madness Resurfaces
Kobe Bryant is widely regarded as one of the best players to play in the NBA. He started dominating his opponents at a very young age and now, a video has resurfaced on social media that captures a 17-year-old Kobe destroying his opponents. Making a mockery out of them.
Bryant entered the league as the thirteenth overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft. He was taken up by the Charlotte Hornets and was immediately traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. He played for the Lakers for his entire 20-year career.
Playing as a shooting guard for the Lakers, he was known for his versatile scoring ability and killer mentality.
He won a multitude of accolades in his career that includes five NBA championships, a league MVP, and two scoring titles. Kobe was a menace on the defensive end of the court too. He made multiple NBA All-defensive teams as well.
Inspired by Michael Jordan, Kobe had an impeccable work ethic and a winning personality.

Gym Rats Midnight Madness was a basketball competition that attracted elite high school talents from around the country for a night of intense games.
The competition has seen a lot of great NBA talents such as Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady, Antoine Walker, and Stephon Marbury appear in it. For Bryant, it was all a bit too easy, as he was s much better than the rest of the players.
Kobe decided to enter the league right after high school
The former Lakers legend took an interest in the game at the young age of three. Owing to his father who played in the NBA. He had a spectacular high school career at Lower Merion School in the suburbs of Philadelphia.
Bryant attracted a lot of offers from top-tier colleges owing to his performance as a freshman. But instead of going to college, he decided to declare for the NBA draft.
A handful of players have been able to sustain the level of play in the NBA coming straight out of high school. Kobe Bryant was one of them. He looked ready for the league from the get-go and proved his decision through an illustrious career.
