'Seth Curry will tell you that he's a better shooter than Steph Curry': Dell Curry opens up about his younger son's mentality

With a career three-point percentage of 44.1%, Seth Curry has often told joe he thought he’s a better shooter than his older brother Steph.

The use of the three-point line has never been higher. The game has become more fast-paced than ever, with players pulling up from the logo at their will. If there is one person responsible for revolutionizing the game this way, credit has to be given to none other than Stephen Curry.

If there is another NBA player who has had a consistently great shooting career it is Seth Curry. The second child of former Charlotte legend Dell Curry has constantly been knocking down shots since he joined the league.

Of course, battles in the backyard are way different than the NBA court. On the Rex Chapman show, Dell Curry revealed Seth’s mentality. Dell disclosed:

“Seth had the mentality that ‘If Steph is going to do it, I know I can do it. What are you talking about?’ ‘I just kill him in the backyard’ That is Seth Curry’s mentality right now.”

Both the Curry brothers have been very impactful on their team this season. Both of them are having one of the best seasons of their career. Seth’s Philadelphia and Steph’s Golden State, both are heavily reliant on their shooters.

But, according to Seth Curry, his brother looks like the better shooter is because Steph gets to shot more shots. Dell Curry explained why Seth thought the future Hall-Of-Famer looked like the better shooter:

“He’ll (Seth) tell you, ‘I’m a better shooter than Steph. He just gets more shots than I do. He has free rein, he touches the ball more, I’m a better shooter than him right now.’ That was his mentality the entire time.”

There is no doubt that Stephen Curry has had a better career in the league than his brother. Curry has his names in virtually all the shooting records, which is what makes him so great.

Although, credits do have to be given to Seth too. He has been having a historically good shooting year. He has been the primary shooter for Philadelphia, which has helped them stay on top at the Eastern Conference.
