"You're Not Gonna See Another Dwight Howard": Former Shaquille O'Neal Teammate Has Distinct Opinion on Diesel's Arch Nemesis

Every player in the NBA hopes to achieve two goals. The first is to win an NBA Championship. The other one is to go down in the Hall of Fame and retire as one of the game’s greats. Shaquille O’Neal has done both, winning four NBA Championships in his 19-year career and then getting his spot in the HOF in 2016.

Shaq is among the greatest big men to play in the NBA and is often considered the most dominant player. He had his way of getting what he wanted in the paint and left opponent coaches scratching their heads.

After his retirement from the NBA, Shaq joined TNT, where he works as an on-air analyst. He often makes remarks about other players, but there is none he likes to pick on as much as Dwight Howard.

Shaquille O’Neal questions Dwight Howard’s HOF eligibility

After failing to make an NBA roster this season, Dwight Howard went to Taiwan to play with the Taoyuan Leopards of the T1 League. Over there, Howard has been averaging 23.8 points, 12.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.3 blocks in his six games.

Recently, he matched up against Sim Bhullar, the first player of Indian origin to play in the NBA. It wasn’t an easy matchup for Dwight, who was seen struggling.

Sim is 7ft 5″ and weighs 359 lbs. On the other hand, Dwight Howard is 6ft 10″ and weighs 265 lbs. In no way was it an even matchup. In the comment section of the video, a fan went down questioning if Dwight deserves to be in the HOF after this. Shaq replied to the comment agreeing with the fan.

Howard is an NBA Champion, 8x All-Star, 8x All-NBA, and 3x DPOY. His resume is good enough for a 99.7% eligibility in the HOF. Howard saw the post and commented on the same as well.

“Lol whoever run this page is hilarious. This new era of showing highlights.”

Shaq had vowed not to make fun of Howard anymore

After the clip of Dwight Howard dominating in Taiwan surfaced, Shaq had mocked him on his podcast. Back then, he said,

However, after a thanksgiving dinner with his mother, Lucille O’Neal, Shaq realized he was wrong. He took it to his podcast to apologize to Howard and said,

“I got scolded by my mama yesterday for messing with Dwight. So, Mr. Dwight Howard, I owe you an apology. I will never hurt your feelings again.”

Well, I guess Shaq tried his best for a month and a half, but couldn’t hold on to his promise.
