“Stephen Curry makes great defensive reads and chirps on court all the time”: NBA fans react to in-game video of the Warriors legend playing the Draymond role on defense
NBA fans react to Warriors’ superstar Stephen Curry being a silent court general and are wow-ed by his communication and moves
If you have been around any platform that discusses the NBA, you would know what they say about the Warriors. The entire last season, there were numerous jokes made, both by players and fans, about the Warriors’ offense. The main idea behind them: ‘Get Stephen Curry the ball, and he will handle the rest.’
While many players on the Warriors meant it as a joke, but over the course of the last season, we’ve seen that it was an effective strategy. Stephen Curry has always been the smaller guy on the court, so he has to rely on constant movement and use innovative methods to stay one step ahead. NBA Twitter saw videos explaining the Warriors’ star and his playmaking, and were wow-ed by all the things Curry does silently.

In this one specific YouTube video, the person tries to break down the little things Curry does on offense and defense that change the course of the game. For the purpose of the video, the creator took up the Warriors-Nuggets game from January to explain things.
As observed in the video, Stephen Curry does numerous things to outplay his opponents. From calling out entire plays with just the signaling of his fingers to creating open looks for other teammates. Curry’s methods arent only limited to the offensive side of the floor. He also reads the opponents on defense, keeps a close eye on the coach, reads their strategy, and gets his own defense to react accordingly.
