“Stop Putting Out Fake Stories, It's Pathetic”: $30,000,000 Worth Zion Williamson's Teammate Comes To 'Troubled' Pelicans Star's Rescue

Zion Williamson has long been the butt of all jokes for having an injury-riddled career. However, things became a lot worse when OnlyFans model, Moriah Mills decided to ruin Williamson’s reputation following his first child’s gender-reveal party. Since the allegations, the $30,000,000 worth star has been laying low. The media has used this opportunity to further tarnish Zion’s character with all sorts of fake stories. Fortunately, Larry Nance Jr. came to his teammate’s defense, denying the allegations about the former Duke Blue Devil was failing to work on his fundamentals.

Unfortunately, Zion Williamson’s happiness following his first child’s gender-reveal party was short-lived. Moriah Mills, an actress in the adult industry, spammed social media with accusations of cheating on his baby mama with her. Since the drama unfolded, the 6-foot-6 Forward has been off the spotlight. Until recently, the New Orleans Pelicans youngster was seen at the Jordan Quai 54 event in Paris, France.

Larry Nance Jr defends Zion Williamson from ‘fake stories’

Fox Sports analyst Ric Bucher recently reported that Zion Williamson was not inclined in developing his fundamentals – floaters, layups, and jumpers. Have a look at what Bucher reported in NBACentral’s tweet:

“Where are the floaters, up and under layups, his pull up jumpers at the elbow? Now from what I’ve been told, he’s shown no interest in developing any of those tricks. Tricks that Blake Griffin learned along with a decent three-point shot when the injuries started to pile up for him, and allowed him to single-handedly drag the Detroit Pistons to a playoff berth.”

The tweet reached Larry Nance Jr. a few hours after it was posted on social media. Nance instantly called out Bucher for the ‘fake’ story. Coming to the two-time All-Star’s defense, Larry disclosed that Williamson was constantly working on his fundamentals. Nance further tweeted:

I don’t understand the constant attempt to drag Z’s name… I’m in the gym with this dude all season and he’s consistently putting in work on his touch, jumper, and skill shots.

These dudes need to stop putting out fake stories just for clicks. It’s pathetic

Amid the allegations of Zion not putting in work to strengthen his fundamentals, an old clip of the Forward working on his midrange jumper has resurfaced on social media. As seen in @allnbazion’s tweet, the 2020 All-Rookie member was in the gym putting in the work on his pull-up jump shot late during the 2022-2023 season.

With the evidence we have gathered so far, Bucher’s claims are baseless.

Zion explains why it’s hard to diet

Williamson is one of the most explosive players in the league when healthy. Not only does Zion possess a high basketball IQ, but he also scores the ball highly efficiently. His touch around the rim is incredible. There aren’t many downsides to the Pels star’s game.

However, there has been one constant issue with Zanos since his time in the NBA – weight. Despite him moving swiftly, there is no doubt that the southpaw is overweight. Even though he’s now listed at 284 pounds, there have been times when he has reportedly weighed more than 300 pounds.

On an appearance on Gilbert Arenas’ podcast, Williamson even revealed why it would be difficult for him to diet. According to Zion,  it’s tough to follow any dietary measures when you’re in your early 20s and have all the money in the world. Take a look at what the 2018 #1 pick had to say in Jake Hardee’s tweet.

It may be difficult, but Zion does have to become lighter on his feet in order to prevent further season-ending injuries.
