“They want you to check on your kids you left over there”: Matt Barnes hilariously roasts co-host Stephen Jackson on ‘All the Smoke’ podcast
Matt Barnes banished Stephen Jackson to the shadow realm with the kind of burn that stings for a long time.
Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson are two former teammates who host the ‘All the Smoke’ podcast together. The chemistry between the two dudes makes the podcast a staple for many basketball fans. Their reputation among current NBA players also helps them get great guests all the time.
On the latest episode that dropped December 24th, they hosted Amar’e Stoudemire. Stat is one of the best scorers from his time in the league. Although injuries debilitated him in the latter half of his career, his pick-and-rolls with Steve Nash were a sight for sore eyes.
Amar’e had a great time talking about his tenure in the NBA. These 3 players are contemporaries who competed with each other for 12 years. They know the ins and outs of the game like few others.
Matt Barnes eviscerates Stephen Jackson with nonchalant burn
Stephen Jackson had a few remarks about basketball fans outside of USA:
“Once you win a title there, you’re like a God to those people. There was this time when I won Dominican Republic. I still get texts and DMs…asking me to come back. Overseas, they love you forever.”
Matt Barnes then dropped possibly the best podcast insult of the year with:
“I think they did that… ’cause they want you to come back and check on your kids you left over there.”
Listening to Matt Barnes jokingly ether Stephen Jackson while Amare Stoudemire looks on slack jawed and laughing is all I ever needed
