Chris Paul and Devin Booker were sensational, as they beat the Nuggets 125-118 to advance to the Western Conference Finals. Chris Paul had a game-high 37 points and 7 assists. Booker added 34 points and 11 rebounds.
The outcome may have been different had the league MVP Nikola Jokic not been tossed from the game. Jokic was ejected with over 2 minutes to play in the 3rd quarter, for a Flagrant 2 foul.
Jokic had 22 points and 11 rebounds before he was ejected from the game.

Jokic, as soon as he committed the foul, raised quite a few eyebrows. While his approach to Cam Payne looked dangerous, it is clearly seen that the swipe was meant for the ball alone. Skip Bayless did not waste any time and made a tweet about the same.
However, as soon as they called it a Flagrant 2, there was a certain outrage about the same. In a crucial game, at a crucial juncture, the referees decided to eject the league MVP. This did not sit right with Stephen A Smith.

It’s no use to wonder whether the outcome of the game would have been different if they did not eject Jokic. However, this one foul cost the Nuggets a chance to save a sweep, and they sure wouldn’t forget about it anytime soon.
