As the Denver Nuggets were cruising past the Minnesota Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards made a promise after their Game 3 loss, that the series was not over, and man, did he not make sure of it on Sunday.

In the post-game presser, the Ant Man was quite vocal after his 36-point Game 3 performance. “This series is not over. It’s the first to four, not to three. I promise you it ain’t over. Everyone’s counting us out. It ain’t over. I promise you,” said Edwards.
And with a team-high 34 points, 6 rebounds, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocks performance in Game 4, he delivered on his promise.
Kevin Garnett and NBA Twitter praise Anthony Edwards for carrying the Wolves to a win
As Nikola Jokic, with a 43-point, 12-rebound performance was leading the Nuggets to a sweep, Edwards made sure to save his team from another embarrassment to add to their horrible Playoff history of the past 19 years.
And the greatest Timberwolf of all-time, who last got the Wolves to a post-season series win in 2004, congratulated the 21-year-old guard for his franchise’s first win in the post-season this year.
So did the NBA Twitter.
Kendrick Perkins said his bit as well.
The Wolves are officially Edwards’ team
Timberwolves invested a lot in Karl-Anthony Towns since his draft 9 years ago. But, the big man has consistently let them down.
Even after getting his wish to play with his long-time friend D’Angelo Russell last year, 20 y/o Edwards was the one-man show for them in the 2022 Playoffs as well.
Whatever happens in the series from now on, be it a 4-1 Nuggets win, Edwards is the guy in Minnesota and they have to build around even if it means trading KAT to get him better help.
