“Want LeBron James Over Stephen Curry”: Lewis Hamilton Once Gave His Preference Between Lakers and Warriors Superstars
LeBron James and Stephen Curry are two of the most iconic superstars of the past 10 years. From 2012-2022, the only other two all-time talents to snag a championship were Kawhi Leonard and Giannis Antetokounmmpo. Even in 2023, the two most popular jerseys being sold are James and Curry.
Both LeBron and Steph have enjoyed quite the rivalry with one another as well. Having faced off in the NBA Finals 4 consecutive years and then having the Lakers beat the Warriors in the 2021 play-in tournament has led to a deep-rooted rivalry between the two.
While it is understood that the ‘kid from Akron’ is the superior player and is greater in terms of rankings all-time, some truly do prefer Curry over James. Being knocked for choosing the greatest shooter is something that should not be the case in any argument.
Lewis Hamilton on the LeBron James-Stephen Curry debate
Lewis Hamilton is arguably the greatest F1 driver in the history of the sport. So, it’s safe to say that he understands more than just a thing or two about what greatness looks like the realm of sports.
When asked about who he’d prefer over LeBron James and Stephen Curry, he went with the former. He didn’t provide any further information, rather, he wasn’t given a chance to offer up an explanation given the fast-paced nature of the game he was playing.
It’s unclear what Lewis meant when he chose LeBron James over Steph. Did he mean he likes James more or did he mean he’s greater than Steph? Perhaps Hamilton just prefers to watch the Lakers superstar over the Warriors legend when he flips on ESPN.
Stephen Curry and Lewis Hamilton played golf with each other
Back in 2017, Stephen Curry and Lewis Hamilton played a round of golf with each other when they had linked up in China. There was quite the unusual twist to the game however as Curry had to don an F1 driver’s helmet while trying to hit the golf ball.
He tried to hit the ball once with the helmet on and as expected, fluffed the line and got mostly grass on the swing. He would then take his helmet off and try to swing one more time, leading to an impressive hit. Considering the fact that Curry is an avid golfer, this was not too surprising.
