WATCH: Stephen Curry and Draymond Green Cannot Contain Their Laughter As Klay Thompson Hits Innocent Passerby With Golf Swing
The Golden State Warriors star, Klay Thompson is one of the best shooters the game has ever seen. However, on a golf course, it looks like accuracy is not something Klay is familiar with. Thompson and his Splash Brother Stephen Curry were facing Kansas City Chiefs players Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce in Capital One’s “The Match”. On one hand, Curry was having a good game, on the other Thompson was having a rough time. It went so bad at one point that Klay hit a babysitter in the stands with one of his drives. Starting the game, Curry had the upper hand as he put his golfing skills to use. However, all of Curry’s efforts were negated by the horrible game that Thompson had.
Watching Thompson perform and hit bad shots after bad shots, his Warriors teammate Draymond Green almost gave up on him. Green was so done with Klay’s golfing that, at one point, he hilariously commented that Charles Barkley would have been a better choice. Apparently, Chuck was in the commentator’s seat.

During the game, when Steph was trying to hold the fort for his team, Klay had his own plan. While Chef Curry was cooking with his skills, Thompson was hitting one bad shot after another. Watching this, Green and Chuck also appeared to be in disbelief. However, the golden moment for the fans and spectators came when Thompson hit such a bad shot that it hit a babysitter in the stands. The Warriors’ star shot was so bad that both NBA and NFL stars burst into laughter.

Although Klay had a bad game at something that is not his expertise, he still remains one of the top four 3-point shooters the league has ever seen, and that is not going to change in the future.
Klay Thompson says he can easily beat his new teammate Chris Paul
Thompson is a true competitor, and irrespective of his skills in golf, he wants to win at any cost. His winning mentality was revealed when he was asked about Chris Paul’s trade. Usually, any fan would think that his reaction would be about basketball. Wrong! Klay was all ready and focused for “The Match”, a golf match against the NFL stars, which he is really bad at.
“At least we got Chris Paul now,” Thompson said when asked about being teammates with great golfers like Curry and Andre Iguodala. I know Chris might be a double-digit handicap. When he joined our team, I told him, ‘Finally someone I can beat on the links.’ Andre and Steph are a different level,” said Thompson about CP3 before the match.
Moreover, he also said that playing with Paul, who is one of the best in this generation, is always an honor. He also added that it was weird playing with someone who they had so many battles against.
