Malik Monk was something else against Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. Off the bench, the 25-year-old had an efficient 28 points, as he shot 8 of 14 from the field (57.1%), 3 of 6 from three (50%), and 9 of 10 from the free-throw line. Additionally, he also grabbed 7 rebounds, had 1 steal, and 2 blocks. So, you can probably imagine how confident he was feeling right after the game. And in all that confidence, the man decided to take after Dillon Brooks’s example in a dangerous way. Let’s dive into what happened here.

Malik Monk calls Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors old
To Malik Monk’s credit here, he clearly wasn’t as abrasive about things as Dillon Brooks was. However, the man still made it seem like opponents were pushing 50, and cited it as the biggest reason they won. Take a look at clip in Anthony Slater’s tweet below about the Malik Monk’s post-match press conference.
Malik’s Monk said he “knew we could run them” with only one day off between games. It’s an even quicker turnaround for Game 7. “I felt it a little more on them. They were a little tired. We’re younger than they are…Gonna try to do the same thing Sunday.” pic.twitter.com/XiRv4KNt1F

“I felt it a little more on them. They were a little tired. We’re younger than they are…Gonna try to do the same thing Sunday.”
These were comments about a franchise that houses Stephen Curry, someone whose stamina reserves are so ridiculous, other NBA players feel like throwing up just think about it. And of course, while Curry’s teammates aren’t quite as fit as him, they aren’t very far away either.
This isn’t a statement that is going to go down easy once the Warriors lay their eyes on it. And given that the Kings needed just about every Warrior to have a horrible game to win this one, something tells us game 7 isn’t going to be as pretty an experience as game 6 for this franchise.
What did Dillon Brooks do against LeBron James?
Dillon Brooks has been raising quite an uproar regarding LeBron James and his age. But some would say that the man went too far during a certain interview after a game in this series. Take a look at the clip in this tweet by Tim MacMahon below to find out what happened.
Classic Dillon Brooks on his confrontation with LeBron James: “I don’t care. He’s old. … I poke bears. I don’t respect someone until he gives me 40.”
And Brooks had plenty more to say. pic.twitter.com/uWLONrubPZ

Since this moment, the Grizzlies have been on a downward spiral in their series against the Lakers. And as they fight elimination in game 6 against LA, we couldn’t be more sure a part of Brooks regrets that this little moment ever happened.
