With 16 combined 3-pointers, Stephen Curry & Andrew Wiggins Achieve a Feat that even the Splash Brothers Haven’t Accomplished

The Golden State Warriors have been in tremendous form lately. Stephen Curry and co. went 3-7 to start the 2022-23 season, and since then, the defending champs found their groove.

Entering Saturday night’s clash against the Houston Rockets, Steve Kerr’s boys had won 6 of their last 8 games. Thanks to some incredible overall team performance, GSW grabbed a huge 120-101 win over Stephen Silas’ boys.

Playing without the likes of Klay Thompson, it was an extremely productive night for the All-Star duo of Curry and Andrew Wiggins. While The Baby-Faced Assassin recorded a 30-point, 10-assist double-double, Maple Jordan ended the bout with a game-high 36 points.

Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins’ historic performance

The Warriors-Rockets clash witnessed several feats being achieved. First, with Draymond Green’s first 3-pointer, he surpassed Michael Jordan’s all-time 3-pointers.

The duo of Wiggs and Steph also created history by becoming only the third pair of teammates ever to record eight 3-pointers each in the same game. As shocking as it sounds, this feat has never been accomplished by any two players in from the GSW franchise. Not even by the Splash Brothers. They join the likes of Zach LaVine & Coby White and Kevin Love & Donovan Mitchell.

Further, the two Golden State superstars become the only teammates in NBA history to record at least 30 points and 1 steal with 8 made three-pointers in the same game.

NBA Twitter reacts as GSW teammates put up a historic performance

As soon as the Wiggins-Curry feat went viral on social media, NBA Twitter blew up with reactions.

The Warriors have now improved their record to 13-11, rising up the standings. With momentum on their side, an All-Star call for Wiggins and Curry is definitely on the cards.
