Lamar Jackson is undoubtedly one of the most talented young quarterbacks in the league. He was roped in by the Baltimore Ravens back in 2018 and ever since, he has been a massive part of the unit.

The 2019 season MVP has guided the Ravens to innumerable important victories. In fact, for several NFL fans, it is almost impossible to imagine a competitive Ravens team without Lamar leading the offense.
However, the Lamar-Ravens relationship has gone sour over the last few months as they just can’t figure out a deal that can satisfy both the parties. Ahead of the 2022 season, Lamar had given an ultimatum to his team to figure out a deal that suits him, however, no solution was found and Lamar started leading the unit with a lot of uncertainty in his mind regarding the extension.
Amidst all this, innumerable fans voiced their opinions about the contract situation. While many sided with Lamar and wanted the team to offer more money, a lot of them also started targeting Lamar for being a bit too greedy.
Baltimore Ravens offered a relatively low amount to Lamar Jackson
And now, adding another chapter to the whole controversy, NFL Insider Ryan Clark has reported the amount of guaranteed money the Baltimore-Based franchise had offered Jackson and after knowing the numbers, many haters have also decided to side with the quarterback.
The Ravens reportedly offered $113 million in guaranteed money to Jackson to which he refused. Post that, they apparently raised the amount to $133 million which was yet again turned down by the star quarterback.
While quarterbacks like Kyler Murray and Deshaun Watson are getting crazy amounts of guaranteed money, $133 million for Lamar sure looks less. For instance, the Browns gave Watson $230 million in guaranteed money while Kyler got $160 million.
As expected, NFL fans went crazy after the Lamar news caught pace with many criticizing the team for not valuing their most valuable asset in the correct manner.
Without a doubt, in a quarterback hungry league, the Ravens will have to raise their offer, otherwise, lots of franchises would come in all guns blazing to rope in talented Lamar.
