2 Years After Signing $18,800,000 Rookie Deal, ‘Religious’ Justin Fields Admitted Getting a Special Tattoo Against His Father’s Wish
Justin Fields, who’s two years off signing an $18.8 million rookie contract according to Spotrac, is a deeply religious man. He even went against his dad to showcase his religious values. A few months ago Justin Fields was on GQ Sports doing a video about the 10 ten things he couldn’t live without, and the very first thing he mentioned was the Bible app. The young quarterback recalled how he used to go to church and how a major part of his identity is his religion.
Fields mentioned several other things in the video. Of course, football made the list as did his family. Fields is going to be playing football for a long time so that definitely isn’t going anywhere. The Chicago Bears quarterback is up for a big year after the Bears made some major moves on the offensive side of the ball. He has a new wide receiver to work with, he’s in year three of his career, and he can finally get used to some stability on the offensive line too.
Justin Fields Has a Religious Tattoo, Against His Dad’s Wish
When it comes to religion, Fields is very serious. He knows it’s a major part of what makes him who he is, and as a result, he wanted a memory to commemorate that.
As mentioned earlier, Fields explained that he wouldn’t be able to live without his Bible app. Like many people, he has special verses picked out from the Bible that he remembers deeply.
One of them is his dad’s favorite verse, which he has tattooed on his chest. Fields revealed on the GQ video that his dad didn’t really want him to get the tattoo, but it was one that he felt like he needed to get regardless.
The tattoo is a representation of who Fields is, and the values he carries every day. It’ll not only serve as a symbol of the Bible and his religion but also represent his father whom he loves deeply.
Fields Shares Close Bond With His Father
When Fields discussed his family in the video, he shared how close he is with his father. He knows that when things are tough, or when he just needs to talk to someone, he can always turn to his dad.
Just to highlight that point, Fields FaceTimed his father during the video and got a big welcome response. Clearly, Fields holds a lot of value for his father, and for that reason, the reason he got his tattoo makes even more sense.
