Charles Barkley 's Suns Used 1992 Championship As Motivation To Thwart Michael Jordan's Three-Peat: "SAVE THE CITY"

Unfortunately, former NBA stars Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan ended up drifting apart, even after being the closest of friends at one point. While talking to Tom Brady about the biggest regret of his life, Charles once reflected on how things ended on a sour note between him and MJ.

Barkley had appeared on Tom Brady’s podcast named ‘Let’s Go!‘ a little while back. There, the seven-time Super Bowl winner asked the Hall of Famer if he ever looks back and think “I shouldn’t have said that“. To this, Barkley had instantly responded by saying that he does feel that way when he remembers what happened between him and Jordan.

Charles Barkley tells Tom Brady that he hasn’t spoken to MJ in 10 years

As per CBS News, Barkly and Jordan parted ways when Chuck made a comment about Charlotte Hornets, the team Jordan owns.  At that time, the Hornets were really struggling to win anything. Hence, Barkley told his Airness that he doesn’t have people around him who can say ‘No’ to his face which is costing him big time.

Charles had suggested that Michael needs to surround himself with better people. However, his words ended up making things even worse between him and his pal MJ.

And what I said, I think that he don’t have enough people around him that are gonna tell him, ‘No,'” Barkley said. “And he got really offended, and we haven’t spoken.”

Even though losing his friendship with Jordan was the most hurtful thing for Barkley, one has to compliment him for sharing his honest opinions with his pal. However, all that transpired really ended up hurting Chuck, as he was visibly emotional while talking to Tom about things going awry between him and MJ.

Losing his friendship was probably the most prominent thing that happened to me. But I was just being honest,” Charles had told Brady, adding that when you become ultra successful, people seldom say anything to you which you may not like. Barkley ended by saying that MJ hasn’t spoken to him in almost 10 years.

Barkley reveals that he had a man crush on Tom Brady

Barkley always manages to make his audience laugh with his funny remarks and quick responses. When the 60-year-old once appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, he had shared a story about an unforgettable encounter with TB12 in 2019.

The new England Patriots coach, Bill Belichick, invited him before the Super Bowl that year. He met some of the Patriots players, but when he came across Brady, he got star struck.

Barkley said, “I’m looking at these guys, and all of a sudden I look at Gronk (Rob Gronkowski), and then Tom Brady’s like right here. And I look him in the eyes, and I said, ‘Damn, you a pretty man.’ That’s what I was thinking to myself, and I got so embarrassed, I started to turn my head to talk to him.

“I was like, ‘Hey Tom, it’s good to see you, man. I haven’t seen you in a while.’ I see why he scored them touchdowns because the defense will look at his eyes, they get mesmerized. That Tom Brady, he’s a pretty man, y’all. He’s a nice guy, too, but, man, I can’t look him in the eyes again. He’s living a good life.”

Chuck wasn’t the only man who was mesmerized by Brady’s good looks. He revealed an experience Shaquille O’Neal had with Terrific Tom.

“Shaq came in the other night and he’s like, ‘Man, I had dinner with Tom Brady the other night.’ He came and said, ‘Man, Imma tell you something.’ I said, ‘What?’ ‘I was out with Tom Brady the other night. You were right. That’s a pretty man.’ Shaq, I tell you, every time I’m around him when he starts talking to me and I’ll make eye contact, I don’t remember nothing he said after that.'”

One thing to note is that Tom’s former wife, Gisele, fell in love with Brady because of his kind eyes.
