The Patriots have hit the ground running, and free agency hasn’t even officially started yet. The signing spree took NFL fans by storm, including Lakers star LeBron James.

After suffering their first losing season since 2000, Bill Belichick and the Patriots have gotten a head start on setting things straight in 2021. They made move after move in the last few days, with the most recent being the signing of Hunter Henry from the Chargers.

The Patriots and Raiders have agreed to a trade that will send OT Trent Brown to New England, per sources.

Brown has also agreed to a reworked contract for one year that is expected to be worth up to $11M as part of the deal.

Former Titans’ TE Jonnu Smith reached agreement with the Patriots on a 4–year, $50 million deals that includes $31.25 million fully guaranteed, @DrewJRosenhaus told ESPN.

And New England strikes again: The Patriots are signing former Chargers’ TE Hunter Henry to a three-year, $37.5 million deal, including $25 million guaranteed, per source.

Free agency’s top two tight ends, Henry and Jonnu Smith, wind up in New England.
