NFL Columnist Names Deion Sanders As the Perfect Fit For Las Vegas Raiders Who Are Hit With HC Crisis

Coach Deion ‘Prime Time’ Sanders was prepared for this. As he had entered the post-game conference after a second-half double-time loss against Stanford, Coach Prime knew ‘all the love they’ve received will turn around’. And as critics double down on the Colorado Buffaloes, it seems like his words came true.

ESPN’s Stephen A Smith offered a disappointed reaction to Colorado’s Friday loss on First Take, as he called their loss an “absolute disgrace.” On his First Take episode on Monday morning, Smith wasted no time reacting to Colorado blowing 29 points after weeks of building hype for the nation to follow. And Deion Sanders, being himself, had a classy response to it.

Deion Sanders Wants to “Move On,” Reacts to Smith’s Criticism

After Stephen A. Smith criticized the Colorado Buffaloes’ performance in a recent game, particularly the players’ apparent overconfidence, Coach Deion Sanders responded by agreeing with the criticism on social media. Smith, during his show First Take, labeled Colorado’s loss “a disgrace” and “unacceptable.” He believed that the players had become too caught up in the charisma generated by their coach, Deion Sanders. Later, Smith went a step further and singled out Shedeur Sanders, Coach Prime’s son and the team’s quarterback, for posting merchandise promotions on social media during halftime.

But what many anticipated after this was Coach Prime’s reaction. And it seems like they got it, as Deion acknowledged the criticism. He took to commenting on First Take’s Instagram post with a simple and classic ‘Prime’ response, “He’s right, now let’s move on.” After all, the Buffaloes have had their fair share of scrutiny throughout the season for showboating and excessive confidence, like Shedeur’s “The Shedeur” celebration, trash-talking opponents before a loss to Oregon, and taunting opposing student sections after victories.

With the team losing three of their last four games, Coach Sanders characterized their recent performance as “pathetic.” Colorado now has a bye week to reflect on their struggles before returning to play UCLA, with hopes of regaining their footing and silencing critics like Smith and Jason Whitlock. It’s interesting, though, how Smith took it upon himself to criticize the team, but Whitlock made it a personal jab show from Caoch Prime.

Whitlock Slams Deion as “a pee-wee coach”

Jason Whitlock, a well-known sports commentator, has criticized Deion Sanders and his coaching approach at Colorado in a recent segment on his show. Whitlock suggested that there is no winning culture being instilled in Boulder but rather an emphasis on stat-padding for Sanders’ son, Shedeur, to keep him in the Heisman race.

Later on, he compared Shedeur’s style to Johnny Manziel’s, suggesting that both quarterbacks share similarities, a comparison that many find unfair. Furthermore, Jason also criticized Deion Sanders for celebrating a loss against USC and not showing the fire and emotion he desired in his team’s early games. He attributed this to Sanders’ inexperience as head coach. But also, he took a jab by calling Deion out as a father primarily concerned with his son’s NFL future, possibly at the expense of his team. However, Whitlock’s comments have been met with criticism and considered unfair by some, as they question Sanders’ coaching ability and priorities.
