Deshaun Watson is reportedly furious over the fact that the Texans hired a GM without consulting him. Watson may be looking for a trade to Miami.

Deshaun Watson is unhappy with the Texans’ handling of their hiring process & the state of the franchise, sources told @mortreport.
Informed speculation is that Watson would consider waiving his no-trade clause to join the Dolphins in a swap for Tua Tagovailoa, a source said. pic.twitter.com/rqZ45NHBov

This is a developing story and updates are still on the way, but this is major news. It’s rare to see young superstar quarterbacks demand trades in such a way, and if Watson is available, it’s more than a surefire bet that teams will be doing anything to add him.

The Downfall of the Texans Organization
The Texans finished last year in a very respectable position. They ended the year 10-6 and made the playoffs. Watson got his first playoff victory after the Texans rallied back against Buffalo, and for a couple of quarters it looked like they could knock off Kansas City after going up 24-0 on them.
However, as we all know, the Chiefs would come back in dramatic fashion and ever since then things have only gone downwards for the Texans.
Ex-GM and Head Coach made perhaps the most surprising move of the offseason when he traded away DeAndre Hopkins for an oft-injured running back in David Johnson.
Johnson did nothing to fill the void left by DeAndre Hopkins nor did the other receivers they brought in (Brandin Cooks and Randall Cobb). The Texans limped to a 4-12 record including several losses.
The defense was terrible and the offense was way too dependent on Watson’s abilities. However, being that bad must mean that they at least get a good draft pick right? Nope. Their first round pick belongs to Miami who now own the third pick in the 2021 NFL draft.
At least the Texans did right by firing Bill O’Brien during the season, but the messed up again when they hired Nick Caserio without talking to Watson at all.
Clearly, Watson feels disrespected, being the star of the franchise and their only bright spot in this terrible season. It got so bad that JJ Watt had to apologize to him after their Week 17 loss.
“I’m sorry. We wasted one of your years…We should have 11 wins.”

Considering all these factors, you would think that the Texans would do everything they could to keep Watson around long term, but not even consulting him in the GM hire seems like a major mistake.
Deshaun Watson Has An MVP Caliber Season
What makes all this worse is how amazing Watson played this year. He put up career stats across the board, and if the Texans had a winning record, he would be up there in MVP conversations.
@deshaunwatson deserves to be in the MVP conversation. He accomplished more with less than everybody in the MVP race!

Texans fans can only pray at this moment that Watson has a change of heart and decides to stick around. He is a franchise player, and the Texans will be even worse without him.
