“Football Is Getting Sloppy”: 3x Super Bowl Winner Julian Edelman Explains Why Travis Kelce's Chiefs are Getting A Headstart Over Others

Julian Edelman, the three-time Super Bowl winner, has sounded the alarm on the declining standards in the NFL. In an engaging conversation with Travis and Jason Kelce on the ‘New Heights’ podcast, 3x Super Bowl champion Edelman pinpointed why Travis Kelce’s Chiefs are getting a head start ahead of their competitors. The former teammate of football legend Tom Brady expressed his concerns about the increasing sloppiness among players.

According to Edelman, the lack of discipline and attention to detail is becoming evident on the field, affecting teams’ performances. During the podcast, Julian Edelman singled out the Kansas City Chiefs for their next-level dedication, which he believes is the key to their Super Bowl success. Edelman’s insightful analysis sheds light on the nuances that separate the champions from the rest.

‘I Couldn’t Practice’: Julian Edelman Shares Reason Behind His Retirement

Julian Edelman appeared on episode 49 of the ‘New Heights‘ podcast speaking about the tiresome practice sessions. He presented that one of the reasons for his retirement was how hard the Patriots practiced. Amusingly enough, Edelman said, I swear if I didn’t play New England I’d still be playing because we practice so goddamn hard. Yeah, that’s honestly why I retired I couldn’t practice.”

Not only this, Edelman explained in detail the intensive drill that the New England Patriots went over, “I was getting three-three reps of practice.” Edelman additionally speaks about how the rigorous repetitions in practice became a game reality. He understands and respects the importance of the drills quoting, “You build your confidence through practice.”

Travis and Jason Kelce also agreed with Edelman as he says that football practice is a dying breed. According to Edelman, football becomes prone to sloppiness when there is a deficiency in practice. Proving his point, Edelman adds, “I don’t care what anyone says, football is getting sloppy right now.”

Talking about Travis Kelce and his success with the Kansas City Chiefs, Edelman talked about the team getting a headstart due to arduous sessions of practice. Edelman says, “Both your teams, they have such big head starts on teams because they don’t practice and you guys have great leadership. Clearly, this is because you guys f****g practice.”

Jason Kelce Had a Hilarious Response to Julian Edelman’s Insight

Jason Kelce acknowledged that the sport of football has become sloppy in recent times. He also expressed his team’s willingness to learn from the Kansas City Chiefs, who gained a headstart through their rigorous drills. He laughs as he admits, “We don’t practice that much. I agree with everything he is saying, but we don’t”. Jason plays at the center position for Philadelphia Eagles currently.

Edelman openly discussed the demanding nature of football practice and its impact on the game. Edelman, supported by Travis and Jason, expressed concern that football practice is becoming less prevalent, leading to a potential increase in sloppiness. While Jason Kelce humorously admitted his team’s lighter practice routine, the overall message remains clear.
