Patrick Mahomes couldn’t believe it when he saw that his teammate Tyreek Hil didn’t achieve the esteemed 99 rating in Madden 22.

Madden has been releasing ratings by position group, and they’ve already done wide receivers, defensive linemen and ends, tight ends, and running backs.
Only three players from the Madden 99 club have been released so far: wide receiver Davante Adams, defensive lineman Aaron Donald, and tight end Travis Kelce.
Tyreek Hill slotted in as the next best receiver in the game, tied with DeAndre Hopkins at a 98 overall rating. 98 is still great, and Hill should feel proud of what he’s been able to achieve, but he knows that getting that one extra overall is where he needs to be.

Patrick Mahomes Believes Tyreek Hill Should Also Be A 99 Overall
Patrick Mahomes was quick to defend his Kansas City teammate following the ratings release. Mahomes and Hill have been teammates for three years now, and they’ve built a truly explosive connection in their time together.
As a result, Mahomes knows just how good Hill really is, and so when the ratings dropped, the star quarterback had to stand up for his teammate demanding he also be given a 99 overall.
Give that man his 99 rating!!! https://t.co/tnGEGbP91B

Mahomes’ own Madden rating hasn’t been released yet, but there’s been speculation that he could join Travis Kelce and achieve a rating of 99.

Mahomes definitely has the resume to back up him deserving a 99 overall, and if we do see him there, it should definitely not come as a surprise to anyone. However, does Hill have a case for the exclusivity as well?
Last year, he caught 87 passes for 1,276 yards and 15 touchdowns on a ridiculous 14.7 yards per catch. Hill is perhaps the fastest player in the NFL and his speed has given the Kansas City Chiefs an incredibly dangerous passing attack that thrives on exploiting Hill’s vertical ability.
So, yes. He definitely has a case for being rated a 99 overall in Madden. However, he still isn’t at the level the other 99 wide receiver, Davante Adams, is at just yet. However, if Hill turns in one more dominant year, he could definitely make the list.
