“Keep the Blue Tick” : Lamar Jackson Responds to Elon Musk Taking Away His Verified Mark on Twitter
Elon Musk is bringing Twitter into a new era marked by efficiency and profit-making. One of the programs he has undertaken to achieve the latter is to make the iconic “blue tick” a paid privilege, rather than a free one. Over the last couple of days, multiple celebrities and personalities have lost their blue tick. Including Ravens’ QB Lamar Jackson, who had a pretty humorous reaction to the entire ordeal.
Twitter’s recent rollback on the blue ticks has spread chaos across the platform. A symbol that once represented the epitome of credibility is now available to all who are willing to pay for it. In fact, many celebrities have still not paid for the blue tick, which has led to some Twitter users trolling fans by impersonating celebrity accounts.
Lamar Jackson does not want to pay for the Twitter blue tick
Lamar Jackson is famous in the NFL community, partly because he is negotiating a contract extension without an agent. Apparently, he thinks agents are not worth the money at all. Naturally, when he heard the news about Twitter’s blue tick becoming a paid feature, Jackson did not want any part in it at all. In fact, he made his thoughts about the program pretty clear on Twitter.
Gotta pay for it bro 🤣🤣🤣

There are many fans who have been mocking Jackson for his words, saying that he doesn’t want to pay for anything. However, this issue isn’t restricted to him. Rather, there are a lot of celebrities who have actively spoken against Musk’s measures. There are even rumors about a new platform in the works, akin to Twitter.
Jackson’s contract debacle with the Ravens is breaking many hearts
Even after almost 3 years of negotiations, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens have been unable to come to an agreement on his contract extension. While the Ravens have placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on him, both parties know an agreement is necessary. Fans of the Ravens have been constantly calling for the team to accept his demands, only for them to fall on deaf ears.
However, things are changing fast, and not necessarily in the Ravens’ favor. With the Eagles giving Jalen Hurts an expensive contract extension, Jackson is not going to be happy. If anything, he will probably push on to get a better deal than what he is demanding right now. Question is, will the Ravens bend to his will? Or is this going to end with Jackson leaving the Ravens?
