Justin Herbert

After defeating the Tennessee Titans 17-14 on Sunday, the Los Angeles Chargers improved to 8-6. With only 48 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Justin Herbert directed a drive that gave L.A. the victory. The drive covered 52 yards in just five plays, setting up a 43-yard field goal by Cameron Dicker.

While the Titans open the door for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC South, the Chargers’ victory helps them maintain momentum in the crowded AFC playoff picture.

The fact that Herbert overcame two interceptions to direct the game-winning drive with only 48 seconds left says a lot. Take that, everyone who claimed the Chargers were “Chartering” on Twitter! When it counted most, Herbert stepped up.

Allen and Mike Williams both made significant plays in the passing game, and the defense then made life difficult for Tannehill by sacking him four times.

For the first time since Dec. 26, 2021, Herbert threw two interceptions, but he still managed to complete 28 of 42 passes for 313 yards on Sunday. His preferred target was Keenan Allen, who he caught eight out of nine times for 86 yards.

Justin Herbert delivers impressive performance against Titans

On the Chargers’ game-winning drive on Sunday, Justin Herbert set an NFL record. He needed 294 pass yards against the Titans to surpass 4,000 passing yards. As expected, he did end up becoming the first player to throw for at least 4K in each of his first three seasons.

Herbert has the potential to become the best young quarterback in NFL history. He recently passed Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams for the most completions in 50 games.

Additionally, despite throwing two interceptions and delivering a less than impressive performance for the most part of the game, Herbert kept his cool under pressure which eventually helped everyone to understand that he is indeed one of a kind.
