“My Confidence Is Unshakeable”: Russell Wilson Strongly Responds To Locker Room Rift Rumors

Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson, the quarterback for the Denver Broncos, has not had an easy season. If we go by the statistics, Wilson is having his worst season ever. Additionally, he has lost some of the locker room, according to a report by Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.

Nothing is going well for Wilson and Denver. The QB’s offseason signing by Denver has turned out to be a massive failure, and rookie coach Nathaniel Hackett has also received a lot of flak for not stepping up at crucial instances. Denver’s performances have earned criticism, but it seems that Wilson is the subject of most of the internal strife rather than Hackett.

Russell Wilson Responds To Internal Rift Rumors

NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero stated on Tuesday that some members of the Broncos locker room have lost faith in Wilson. Pelissero’s report comes after a startling incident that occurred near Denver’s sideline on Sunday during the Broncos’ 23-10 loss to the Panthers. Defensive tackle Mike Purcell was seen screaming at Wilson on the sidelines.

The defensive tackle gave that exact explanation following the game as to what caused it. Wilson assured reporters that they have no ill feelings for one another, but a few days later, the quarterback was asked about his reputation among his brand-new teammates.

Everyone wants to succeed, Wilson said on Wednesday. “We all desire success. No one wants to win more than this team and I do.”

I mean, I made some really good friends in that locker room. Whoever was attempting to destroy it cannot do so now. The best part, in my opinion, is that getting here, moving here, and staying here has been an amazing journey.

Wilson’s enthusiastic response was not unexpected, but at 3-8 and in the midst of the worst season of his career, it would be reasonable to expect Wilson’s perpetually upbeat demeanor to falter but it hasn’t thus far.

My self-assurance never falters. It is unwavering,” Wilson remarked. “I am aware of the effort I put forth. I recognise who I am. I am aware of what I did. Since I am also familiar with this team and how hard we are working, my confidence is unshakeable.”
