NFL Week 1 Sunday Matches – Top 3 Games to Look Out For in Week 1, Where to watch them?

The NFL is officially back with a bevy of highly entertaining games in week 1. None are better than the three games listed here.

Week 1: Saints vs Buccaneers

Betting Line: Saints by -3.5

Time & Date: 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 13^th

Channel: FOX

Venue: Mercedes Benz Superdome at New Orleans

Tom Brady vs. Drew Brees. The hall of fame quarterback match-up we all dreamed of ever since Brady signed with the Bucs is finally here. Moreover, these quarterbacks rank 1 and 2 in most major passing categories and now they’re in the same division.

However, the intrigue for this game doesn’t end there. This is the first time we’ll see Brady suit up for a team other than the Patriots.

After years of being labelled a “system QB”, Brady finally has the chance to prove his doubters wrong. Furthermore, Brady has no absence of star power either. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Rob Gronkowski, Ronald Jones, and O.J. Howard are just some of the weapons this Tampa Bay team employs.

Meanwhile for the Saints, they bring back their formidable trio of Brees, Michael Thomas, and Alvin Kamara. They also deepened their receiving core by bringing in Emmanuel Sanders this off-season.

This game has a shootout written all over it. There’s no absence of offensive firepower on either side and we’ll get a preview of perhaps a bigger game to come in Week 9.

Brady last played Brees in 2017 in a game where the Patriots smoked the Saints 36-20. The two quarterbacks combined for 803 yards and five touchdowns in that game. Hopefully, we get something similar this time around.

Week 1: Vikings vs. Packers

Betting Line: Vikings by -3.5

Time & Date: 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 13^th

Channel: FOX

Venue: US Bank Stadium at Minnesota

While this may not be the oldest rivalry in the NFC North, it may be the more significant one. With both teams qualifying for playoffs last year this game may have huge implications come playoff time.

The Packers got the better of the Vikings last year, winning both match-ups but that doesn’t mean it’ll be the same this time around.

The Vikings recently traded for defensive end Yannick Ngakoue bolstering a stringy unity. They’ll look to harass Rodgers all day and force him into bad decisions.

On the offensive side, while they may lost Stefon Diggs, the Vikings still have plenty of options. Kirk Cousins and Adam Thielen are severely underrated for their positions. They also employ the electric Dalvin Cook who is always ready to break out for a huge gain on any given play.

Meanwhile, for the Packers they bring back a healthy Devante Adams and the progression of Marquez Valdes -Scantling and Robert Tonyan could be huge for the receiving core.

Week 1: 49ers vs Cardinals

Betting Line: 49ers by -6.5

Time & Date: 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 13^th

Venue: Levi’s Stadium at San Francisco

This game may get lost with the other marquee match-ups in week 1, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting.

This game features two teams with bright futures ahead in the NFL. The 49ers are coming off of a Super Bowl run and have retained their core. Meanwhile, the Cardinals have one of the most promising quarterbacks in the game with Kyler Murray, who is just 23 years old.

Murray is only set to get better this year as the Cardinals brought in all-pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins in a blockbuster trade this summer. Alongside Larry Fitzgerald, Murray won’t have any shortage of options to throw to.

The 49ers defense however is set to make his life miserable. This team has one of the best front seven’s in the league, led by defensive rookie of the year, Nick Bosa.

The 49ers had a tough time against the Cardinals last year with an average margin of defeat of only 6.5 points. The Cardinals will continue to play them tough, providing for an entertaining division match-up.

It’ll be interesting to see if the 49ers suffer from the Super Bowl hangover that plagues all losing teams (except the Patriots). If they can come out with a strong win here, it’ll set the tone for the rest of the season to follow up last year’s success.
