Here’s a look at what all Cowherd praised the Seahawks for and why he believes they are one of the best teams in the NFL currently.
Colin Cowherd impressed by the additions Seattle Seahawks made on offense
The Seattle Seahawks addressed one of their biggest issues by trading for right guard Gabe Jackson in order to improve the offensive line. Jackson allowed 0 sacks last season.
They also added more firepower by signing tight end Gerald Everett who surpassed 400 receiving yards last season. Furthermore, drafting speedy wide receiver D’Wayne Eskridge in the second round gives Russell Wilson another weapon.

Resigning Chris Carson was another big move Seattle made in order to ensure they have a solid run game going. Cowherd also noted the addition of new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.
‘Opening doors of communication with Russ’ was another big move
Understanding Quarterback Russell Wilson’s problems were key in improving the team. By communicating with Wilson, Head Coach Pete Carroll was able to address some of his worries.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler said Wilson was “very happy” with the team’s offseason. Here’s what else Fowler stated:
“I’m told Pete Carroll behind the scenes heard Russell Wilson and understood his frustrations. So, he tried to keep an open line of communication with him over the last few months. They didn’t necessarily have that heart-to-heart, long sitdown, but it was steady contact over those last few weeks to figure out how we can get better.”
