New Orlean Saints running back Alvin Kamara can have some relief himself. The matter concerning his legal case involving has reached a resolution. According to reports from David Charms and Kyle Paine of 8 News Now, Kamara has pleaded no contest to a lesser misdemeanor charge in relation to his arrest in Las Vegas on February 22.

So what is the whole legal case about? Apparently, Kamara and three other individuals were related to conspiracy to commit battery, along with a felony charge of battery with substantial bodily harm. However, after Kamara’s plea, his attorney David Chesnoff has confirmed that the Saints RB is no longer facing felony charges. In return, Kamara will perform 30 hours of community service. He’ll also give $100,000 towards Greene’s medical expenses.

A surveillance video shows Alvin Kamara, along with Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Chris Lammons and two others – Percy Harris, and Darrin Young, being involved in assaulting Darnell Greene. The group assaulted Greene in a hallway outside a Las Vegas nightclub following a dispute. The incident occurred outside a hotel elevator on February 5, 2022.
Police reports read that Kamara’s group attacked Greene at around 6:30 a.m. at Drai’s nightclub. They kicked and punched him repeatedly. The violent incident was captured on surveillance footage obtained by TMZ Sports. Kamara was arrested in Las Vegas on February 6, 2022, just hours after the fight and shortly after his participation in the 2022 Pro Bowl.

With the legal proceedings moving forward, Kamara apologized publicly to Darnell Greene. This was actually part of the settlement reached. Kamara, expressing remorse said, “Please accept my sincere apologies for the events of February 5, 2022, in Las Vegas. I am happy that we are able to get on the other side of this unfortunate incident, and I wish you the best for the future.”
