Jimmy Garoppolo caused a stir with his foot injury that he sustained last season. It was so severe that many were doubtful about his availability during the 2023 season as well. This started the rumor mill to think that the new minority owner of the Raiders, Tom Brady, would suit up and play instead of him. However, Jimmy G is reportedly recovering well and might join the Raiders as soon as the training camp starts. As one can expect, this update has dissipated the hopes of TB12’s second un-retirement.

Brady announced his second retirement in February this year, claiming that he wants to focus on spending more time with his family. However, the former Pats QB still wanted to stay close to football, which is why, he recently brought a stake in the Raiders. This move, along with the fact that Jimmy was still struggling with his injury, gave fans hope that TB12 might make a comeback as a player this season.

Tom Brady unlikely to return for a 24th NFL season

When the update about Garoppolo failing his physical went viral, many fans thought that Tom Brady would be an obvious choice to replace him because he had played under head coach Josh McDaniels before. However, as per NFL.com, Garoppolo, who once served as a backup to Brady when they were in New England, successful underwent a foot surgery and is expected to be back on the field long for Las Vegas before the start of the training camp.

“Tuesday’s news puts those fears(Jimmy missing out on the initial stages of the league) to rest. It’s a positive development for a quarterback in Garoppolo who has encountered plenty of health issues in the last half-decade, including last season,” NFL.com’s Nick Shook reported.

Hence, fans are now starting to accept that the possibility of Terrific Tom coming back to play his 24th season is slim to none. While Brady had himself clarified a few days ago that he isn’t planning on playing QB1 for Raiders after becoming an owner, not many had believed him. Alas! they are compelled to believe his words now.

What is Brady doing in his retirement days?

As mentioned before, the iconic quarterback is paying attention to his family and has done so the entire offseason. Recently, Tom shared a series of fun pictures from his trip to Disney World with his daughter, Vivian Lake Brady, and son, Benjamin Rein Brady.

The post starts with a picture of Brady and his 10-year-old daughter Vivian, both filled with excitement, enjoying a ride. It is followed by a video where the two can be seen shouting while experiencing The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Another photograph showcases Brady, Vivian, and his 13-year-old son Benjamin posing in front of Cinderella Castle.

In additional images, Brady is seen walking with his arm around Benjamin and also exploring Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge alongside his two youngest children. Without a doubt, Tom is doing everything in his capacity to make as many memories as possible with his kids, before he eventually starts his FOX stint next year upon which, he would be a very busy man during the football season.
