Tua Tagovailoa Injury Update: Will He Play Against the Buffalo Bills on Super Wild Card Weekend?
Tua Tagovailoa won’t play for the Miami Dolphins in their playoff game against Buffalo.
Tua Tagovailoa, the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, has been declared ineligible for Sunday’s Super Wild Card Weekend game against the Buffalo Bills and is still in the league’s concussion protocol, according to head coach Mike McDaniel of Miami.
Did Tua not clear concussion protocol because he had 3 concussions in the same season? (Oh wait we aren’t counting the first concussion even though he wobbled for 10 feet and then had a second concussion 4 days later.) https://t.co/5Ql1ALajHl

“As of today, Tua has not been cleared by doctors to resume football activities on the field with his teammates, so I can rule him out for Sunday due to that and the time he’s missed,” McDaniel said.
The quarterback for the Dolphins sustained at least his second concussion of the year sixteen days ago. He still needs permission to play.
In professional football, Tagovailoa has unintentionally become the name and face most associated with head injuries. He has sustained two, possibly three head injuries in the 2022 season as a result of head collisions with the ground. There is a good chance that it will take place once more each time he plays.

Tua will be able to play after completing the five-step return to play protocol because the NFL does not need another serious on-field injury at this time. Ultimately, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross decides whether Tua plays or not. Some believe he should have prevented QB from playing on that fateful night in Cincinnati, four days after Tua hit his head on the ground and clearly wobbled before being cleared to play against the Bills.

Tua Tagovailoa has his career is in “jeopardy” following a concussion.
Tua Tagovailoa may have played his final game of the season and will miss Sunday’s playoff game against the Buffalo Bills, but ESPN analyst Stephen Smith believes his entire career is over.
The Miami Dolphins quarterback has earned a lot of respect since entering the NFL as the fifth pick in the first round of the 2020 draft, but this season has been the most difficult of his career. As a result of his involvement in the wars, the quarterback has suffered three concussions this season alone, but the type of injury could be extremely harmful to his health.

With Tagovailoa out and Terry Bridgewater fighting to return on time, the Dolphins are preparing to start rookie quarterback Skylar Thompson against the Bills on Sunday. Concussion protocol appears to be the story of Tagovailoa’s season, and three in the span of eight weeks is difficult for even the toughest player.
