Politics and Sports don’t mix well, however, that doesn’t mean the people who are a part of the Sporting world should be shunned from expressing their political viewpoints. Recently, ESPN’s star analyst Stephen A. Smith appeared on a special segment on Fox News where he expressed in detail what he exactly thinks of the Democrats and the current POTUS Joe Biden.

Smith, who is known for not holding back when it comes to expressing exactly what he is thinking, was asked if he saw Biden as a ‘Cognitive Mess.’ To this, Biden responded strongly by saying that he will not refer to the President in such a derogatory manner. However, he did go on to criticize the Democrats for not finding a suitable replacement for Joe.
Stephen A. Smith criticizes Democratic Party, while going easy on Joe Biden
Presidential elections will be held next year in United States. So one can understand why even Sporting entities are being asked to comment on the current political situation in the country. Recently, renowned NFL and NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith was invited by Fox News’ Sean Hannity to talk about Chris Christie, President Biden, and the Democratic party as a whole.
I’ll say it…and I know this will make some people mad…but I just think someone 80+ years old is too old to be President.

As one can expect, Hannity went ballistic while describing Joe Biden. He referred to him as a “weak, frail, and cognitively out to lunch” candidate and asked Stephen why the Democrats think Joe is capable of winning again. In response, Smith reminded Hannity that Biden did defeat Trump last time.
Sean then asked Smith if he reckons Biden is a cognitive master to which the analyst responded by saying, “I’m not going to say he’s a cognitive master, I’m not going there. What I can say to you is that I think that there’s an abundance of people who could do better. And I hate the fact that in 2023 we have a bunch of liberal candidates out there that think that he’s the guy. What the hell is wrong with you?”
Stephen went on to add that it is utterly embarrassing that 80 year old Joe is Democratic Party’s best candidate at the moment.
Sean Hannity accuses Stephen A. Smith of not stating the obvious regarding Joe Biden
While Stephen made it clear that he isn’t happy with the Democratic Party’s choice of candidate, he repeatedly refrained from taking a personal shot at Joe Biden. However, Sean kept on persuading Smith to comment on the current President’s mental state.
He accused Stephen of not stating the obvious, despite having the image of a person who never backs away from speaking harsh facts. This ticked off Smith who then stated:
“Excuse me, I’m not going to label it that way, Sean. What I’m going to tell you is this. I’m looking at him and I don’t like what I see, I’m not impressed with what I see, and I’ve been very concerned with what I’ve seen, and the fact that he’s going to be 82 years of age at election time.”
With the elections not too far away, expect more Sports x Politics conversations in the time to come.
