Paul Pogba was asked about Real Madrid speculation after the defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League.

Paul Pogba refused to give anything away about his possible departure to Real Madrid after the 1-0 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League Quarterfinals. The Frenchman started the game against Blaugrana, but he could not prevent his side from defeat as the fans saw Solskjaer’s side going down to the reigning Spanish Champions.

Barcelona did not need a good performance to beat the English outfit as the left-back Luka Shaw scored an own goal to hand over the lead to the visitors in the first half. The Red Devils won the midfield battle, but they did not test the goalkeeper Marc Andre Ter Stegen throughout the game.

The World Cup winner has been linked with a move to Spain after the conclusion of this season and the rumours started to gather interest after the return of Zinedine Zidane back to Real Madrid.

After the game, Paul Pogba was asked an inevitable question about his move to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. The Manchester United midfield gave a matured reply that he is much more worried about the game and result.

When asked by El Chiringuito TV about the possibility of facing Barca in an El Clasico, Pogba said: “When we play the Champions League it’s always nice to play against Barca, it’s a dream for anyone.”

On speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid, Pogba added: “I won’t answer that. I will only speak about the game, nothing else.”

Zidane recently fueled rumours by praising Pogba and seemingly opening the door for a future move to Madrid.

Zidane said: “He brings so much and there are few players who bring as much as he does.

“He’s a midfielder who knows how to defend and how to attack.

“But he is not my player, he is at Manchester.

“He has always said that, after Manchester, Madrid has always interested him. So when his experience at Manchester ends, why not come here to Madrid?”
