The latest update on Paul Pogba transfer news is courtesy his agent Mino Raiola, who took to twitter to slam United legend Paul Scholes.

Manchester United suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Sunday. The Red Devils put in a horrendous performance and deservedly attracted a lot of slack from the media and the internet. Fans were quick to point out mistakes while Manchester United legend Paul Scholes also didn’t hold back.

Despite Pogba getting one of two consolations during United’s visit to England’s south coast, one of the world’s greatest ever midfielders had a harsh review of the Frenchman.

“There’s lack of leaders in the team, that’s why we thought Paul Pogba might be the ideal candidate to be that leader but he wasn’t there tonight. He had another really poor game. He’s so inconsistent,” were his words.

The comments made by the ex-Manchester United midfielder did not go down in well in the eyes of Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola, with the footballing super-agent ripping into Paul Scholes through Twitter in what was a stunning attack.

The first out of two tweets by Raiola said,” Some people need to talk for fear of being forgotten, Paul Scholes wouldn’t recognize a leader even if he was in front of Sir Winston Churchill @paulpogba.”

In a second rant posted on Twitter just minutes later than his first, he said,” Paul Scholes should become sporting director and advise Ed Woodward to sell Pogba. Would be sleepless nights to find Pogba a new club @paulpogba.” The last line was quite certainly a major line of sarcasm towards Pogba who was linked with Barcelona and Juventus in recent weeks.

The World Cup winner was Manchester United’s captain in the last two fixtures that the Red Devils played against Leicester City and Brighton in the Premier League. He also has 2 goals in as many games in the Premier League from the spot but has been questioned after the second game. Pogba and United will be hoping to make a statement when they play Tottenham Hotspur at the Old Trafford next Monday.
