In the end India got across the line by 7 runs, as the Men in Blue beat the Proteas to win the T20I series 2-1 in Cape Town. Shikhar Dhawn led the way again for India, as in the absence of Virat Kohli, the Delhi batsman top scored for the team.

Suresh Raina also shone with the bat, as he made a nicely paced 43 and was crucial in taking India to 172 in their allotted overs.

In reply, Duminy and then Jonker in the end almost took the hosts home, but they eventually lost the match to the better team.

Here are the player ratings!

PLAYER RATINGS

Shikhar Dhawan – 8/10

It was yet another excellent display with the bat for Dhawan, as the Delhi opener played really well and top scored for his side.

Rohit Sharma – 1/10

Another flop show for the Hitman, as Rohit Sharma had an extremely poor tour of South Africa.

Suresh Raina – 9/10

The comeback king was superb with both bat and ball, as he made a wonderful 43 and then picked up a crucial wicket with the ball. A night to remember for Raina.

Manish Pandey – 5/10

Did not have much of an impact in this match, as he could not reproduce his form from the last match.

Dinesh Karthik – 5/10

DK scored just 13 runs, but those final boundaries proved to be the difference in the end.

MS Dhoni – 7/10

Noting special from Mahi, as he put in an effective and composed performance.

Hardik Pandya – 6/10

A decent hand with the bat was followed up by another good performance with the ball. His bowling has taken a great leap on this tour.

Bhuvnneshwar Kumar– 8/10

Another excellent performance from Bhuvi, as the bowler was superb again with the ball. Certainly grown in stature over the tour.

Axar Patel – 5/10

A decent outing on his first match on the tour.

Jasprit Bumrah – 7/10

Was good with the ball and came up with the goods when it mattered the most for his side.

Shardul Thakur – 6/10

A decent performance by Thakur, as he once again impressed everyone.
