Rafeal Nadal & Nishikori team up for Fast4
Nadal in Fast4 Exhibition
Rafael Nadal will team up with Japan’s Kei Nishikori for the upcoming Fast4 exhibition in Sydney. The duo will play against the Australian pair of Nick Kyrgios and Bernard Tomic.
The shortened Fast4 exhibition format offers a fast alternative to tennis. Each game has 4 points and there are four rules to follow. There are no advantage scores, lets are played, tie-breakers apply at three games and the first to four games wins the set. Further all singles and doubles matches will be played using no-advantage scoring, with the receiver choosing the service side when the game reaches deuce.
The event which is planned on 9th January is billed as the t20 format of Tennis. This is because of the fast paced nature of the game which engages the audience. The organisers are also hoping that the format is a huge hit just like its cricketing counterpart.
