The Spaniard will face Jiri Vesley of Czech Republic in the fourth round of Wimbledon 2018.

Rafael Nadal is off to a strong start in Wimbledon 2018, having won all the three rounds in straight sets. Nadal defeated Australia’s Alex de Minnaur in the third round of the Championships, 6-1 6-2 6-4. Nadal looked anything but rusty throughout the whole match against Minnaur, and dominated his opponent right from the start.

While Nadal eased through the match, he also pulled out an exhibition of a variety of shots.

One of them was a tweener, which he lobbed to absolute perfection. Here is the rally:

The rally took place during the second set of the match. While De Minnaur returned the volley over Nadal’s head, the Spaniard chased it down to the baseline to pull off an astonishing tweener-lob. De Minnaur chased it down and tried to replicate the shot, but failed.

Wimbledon’s official account posted the video, saying, “An unbelievable tweener lob (yes, you read that right) from Rafa Nadal is day six’s selection for the HSBC Sport Play of the Day.”

Their reaction was all of us, to be honest.

With this win, Rafael Nadal has now won 30 of his last 31 sets, ever since he started his French Open campaign last month. Nadal’s only lost set came in the Roland Garros’ quarterfinal against Diego Schwartzman.

The Spaniard will meet Jiri Vesley in the fourth round of Wimbledon on Centre Court on Monday. He is one of the three big Centre Court attractions today, as Swiss star Roger Federer takes on Adrian Mannarino, while Serena Williams meets Evgeniya Rodina.
