Aaron Finch has been playing in the Indian Premier League since 2010. He has played for an astonishing 7 teams in the past. With Royal Challengers Bangalore purchasing him in the IPL 2020 Auction earlier in the day, he is set to turn out for his 8th IPL team next season; The most by any player.
Last year, when India traveled down under, Tim Paine and Aaron Finch and Tim Paine were heard having an interesting conversation. Australian test captain Paine told Finch that he had played for nearly every team in the IPL. Except Bangalore,” Finch had replied then.
Almost a year later, Finch will now represent the South Indian side. Funnily, in the same conversation, Paine reasoned that Finch hadn’t played for Bangalore because ‘Virat Kohli didn’t like him.’
Finch played along and said that ‘no one liked him. He added that this was the reason why he kept moving.’
Royal Challenger’s Bangalore have now responded to the clip on Twitter in a hilarious fashion.

Aaron Finch debuted in the Indian Premier League with Rajasthan Royals in 2010. He then played for the now defunct Delhi Daredevils for 2 seasons before shifting to another defunct side Pune Warriors India. Finch played the next two seasons for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians before spending two seasons with yet another now defunct side, Gujarat Lions.
He last turned out for Kings XI Punjab. He missed the 2019 IPL in a bid to prepare for the ICC Cricket World Cup. Barring Delhi and Gujarat, with whom he has spent 2 seasons each, Finch has been with all other clubs for only a season.
