Eder Militao to Real Madrid

Real Madrid have stepped up their interest to secure their target Eder Militao in the summer transfer window.

Eder Militao has been attracting plenty of interest of a host of European clubs over the last few months. The Brazilian International has been one of the best prospects in Europe right now.

A month ago, English outlet Express reported that Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United were keen on landing him, but their plans might come to an end as the Los Blancos have been continuously scouting the defender for the past few weeks, say Marca.

The Portuguese newspaper claimed that the Red Devils were in a pole position to land him as he has a release clause worth 50 million Euros. Additionally, he has decided against signing a new contract with the Portuguese outfit which alarms throughout Europe.

Sarri and Klopp are the other two managers keeping an eye on the defender as they look to reinforce the backline. He has a contract up to 2023 which does not worry Porto, but the amount of amount required to trigger his release clause is the dispiriting cause for the club.

Dubbed as the “New Pepe”, Militao is a connoisseur when it comes down to making decisions at the back. He is also a dexterous tackler and is an enormous threat from the set piece as he stands at 1.86 meters.

The Portuguese club would ideally want to do business in the summer window as they do not want to lose their starman halfway through the season. With Chelsea and Manchester United keen on securing a defender’s signature, it might not be too long to see the Brazilian in action.

Over the past few transfer windows, there have been plenty of players including Alex Telles and Alejandro Grimaldo linked with a big money move to European giants. At just the age of 20, there is no doubt that Eder has age on his side and should be able to improve as time progresses.

Should any of these clubs miss out on him in January, there is no doubt that Porto will be looking for an auction in the summer transfer window.
