Sania Mirza hits back at fans after her video with Shoaib Malik gets surfaced post Pakistan’s loss against India at Manchester

Pakistan’s humiliating 89-run loss (DLS Method) against India at the Old Trafford in Manchester, did not go down well amongst the Pakistani fans. They are now unfortunately, leaving no stones unturned to malign their players involved in the game by hook or by crook.

Post the loss, a video and picture of Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza other cricketers visiting a sheesha cafe, did quite some rounds over the internet, as the fans claimed them to be shot just the night prior to the India vs Pakistan World Cup match at Manchester.

It is worth mentioning that Shoaib Malik has been, since the Manchester loss, facing the wrath of the so-called fans for his dismal performance in the World Cup so far, and particularly for his Golden Duck against India on Sunday. He was even lashed by the Pakistani fans after the match, while the Pakistan players were heading back towards their dressing room.

Sania Mirza hits back

Unhappy with the breach of privacy, and rightly so, Sania Mirza hit back at the person who without her permission shot the picture and even made the video without seeking any sort of permission from them.

She also made it clear, that even if Pakistan lost the match against India, people are allowed to enjoy their dinner.

People in fact claimed that the duo along with two other cricketers of the present Pakistan Team, were present at the sheesha cafe till 2 am, just a few hours before the commencement of the epic clash.

Pakistan Cricket Board intervenes

Putting mud over the alleged false claims by the social media users, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) finally intervened and issued a clarification statement on the same.

The PCB clarified that no player had violated curfew and returned to their hotel rooms’ on-time the night before Pakistan’s match against India. The board added that players had gone out with their families two days before the match.

Pakistan are now reeling at the ninth position in the points table, and will have to win the remaining 4 matches to even think of standing a chance to qualify for the semi-finals of the ongoing 2019 Cricket World Cup.
